King size headboard

I was wondering if you could give me some ideas. I have an king size headboard that is screwed and glued. I can't take it downstairs to remove it because I'm moving. Please help

That is a tough one. Assuming that it doesn't come apart like a normal bed (bed rails from headboard), there isn't much you can do.

I would try removing the screws then using a soft mallet give the joint a sharp tap. Sometimes that will break the glue bond. Just be aware that if it is a strong glue bond you could split the wood instead.
